To succeed, a company must always remain ahead of the competition. This means doing things better and differently than the rest. So Instead of making your business adapt to our InfoShip, we make InfoShip adapt to your business. After all, a company should only need to buy an enterprise shipping system once.

Centrally Located

InfoShip is typically housed in one central location where its nerve center— the DMS Server —does all the work. Information, commands and business rules are “pushed out” to your shipping workstations that need only minor, thin-client software to operate. This design provides superior reliability— rarely, if ever, do you need to reboot—while significantly increasing processing speed. Indeed, under ideal conditions Infoship can process up to 25,000 units an hour. InfoShip is state of the art. Bulky, buggy and cumbersome software running every workstation are now obsolete.

The Whole Process at One Workstation

The Whole Process at One Workstation

With just a few mouse clicks or keyboard strokes, you can prepare all your packages for shipping at one workstation regardless of carrier. Once InfoShip interfaces with the barcode on a package, it has all the information it needs to do almost anything shipping related. It will print out the correct label, generate any accompanying documents, and then monitor your package all the way to delivery. InfoShip will even send out tracking reports to whom you want, when you want, all without prompting.

According to Your Rules

With InfoShip, all your warehouses, shipping centers and workstations follow any shipping-related business requirements you define.

Implementing your Business Rules Future Ship

Implementing your Business Rules

Through the use of easy-to-write, custom business rules, your shipping department is always prepared for any situation. With InfoShip, the ability to automatically control the shipping process is almost limitless.

For example, InfoShip can design and implement business rules specific to each customer. Some can have the lowest shipping cost while others the fastest delivery time. One customer might have a preferred carrier while another has unique shipping-insurance requirements. InfoShip automatically meets their needs.

InfoShip can also use business rules to reduce your shipping costs. For instance, it can combine multiple orders into one box or hold staggered orders for shipping together at once. To make life easy, it will even generate consolidated shipping documents, such as Bills of Lading or Customs documentation for the shipments that InfoShip consolidated.

Future Ship

While you can always create a business rule, sometime InfoShip already has the answer. Let’s say the shipping department is behind schedule or in the midst of the busy season. You cannot afford to stop working because it’s the weekend, a holiday, or the sun has set. Luckily, InfoShip offers Future Ship. With this feature, it doesn’t matter when your department prepares its orders for shipping. InfoShip automatically generates labels and shipping documents for use the next available pick-up date. Just place the package in the carrier’s pick-up area, and it’s ready to go.

Business Rules made Easy

When it comes to designing business rules, you have a choice. InfoShip supports Visual Basic Scripting, but also offers a second choice, a method we created called Behavior Technology.™

Visual Basic Scripting Behavior Technology™

Visual Basic Scripting

InfoShip Supports VB Script, probably the most commonly known scripting language used to make code changes and implement business rules.

Behavior Technology™

Behavior Technology™ is a flowchart-based, easy-to-use method we created for designing and implementing business rules. It bypasses the “compiling” process, thereby increasing the reliably and speed of your business rule execution. Moreover, because it is a visually-based system, Behavior Technology™ not only makes troubleshooting easier, but many people find it more intuitive and easier to understand than other scripting languages.

A Custom Shipping Workstation

With InfoShip, your company can take all the robust information we offer and literally place it at your fingertips in a customized shipping workstation designed to fit your business needs.

InfoShip Main Display InfoShip Sub-Displays Customize the Workstation Controls Control Workstation Access

InfoShip Main Display

You decide what information fields InfoShip displays. For example, the main screen can show an overview of the important aspects of an order such as the customer’s name, address, and contact number, where the package is in the shipping process and what items are in the package. Simple icons—a scale for the package weight, a clock for estimated arrival time, an address book for the customer’s name and address—can provide a clear interface for accessing this information.

InfoShip Sub-Displays

Even the sub-displays are customizable. For instance, InfoShip has a sub-display for both content and package formation. This will show as much—or as little—information as the user needs about these topics based on what your business tells InfoShip to display. The order screen for a large corporation with multiple locations can look much different from the screen for a smaller business with just one location. InfoShip can show one screen for perishable or temperature-controlled goods and another for international or slower-moving bulk orders. Once we set up InfoShip, all these changes happen in the background automatically, making for a seamless, fast, and efficient user experience.

Customize the Workstation Controls

Your company can also customize the keyboard shortcuts and toolbar buttons used during the order process. If you want InfoShip to ship an order, just assign a key to that task, another key can void an order. InfoShip automatically does the rest with just a keystroke. Toolbar buttons are also easily customizable. Pick a toolbar button for arrival time or shipping cost and clicking on that button will immediately display this information. With up to three toolbars and twenty-five buttons per toolbar, you are always sure to have a shortcut available for the task.

Control Workstation Access

InfoShip can even implement a predetermined set of rules that control the operation and functionality of a workstation. This is called a Profile. Thus, you can have a Profile that configures a workstation for shipping small packages or another one for international shipments. Workstations configured with the same Profile will operate identically. This means one distribution center can have a set of identically-operating workstations dedicated to the same task. This also allows different workstations at various distribution centers to also function identically. This is just another way InfoShip brings consistency and efficiency to your shipping department.

Generate any Label or Report

InfoShip’s flexibility is not just limited to workstation appearance and control. It can also generate any label or shipping document you want.

Any Label Any Report

Any Label

InfoShip can generate and print almost every type of shipping label, including carrier specific, UCC 128, HAZMAT, and pallet labels, among many others.

Any Report

InfoShip supports all types of shipping reports including all carrier-required reports, detailed manifest, summary reports and even those unique to your company. Some examples are:

1. Carrier Required: Hazmat forms, VICS Bill of Lading, Standard Short Form Bill of Lading and Carrier Manifests.
2. International Shipping: Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin, NAFTA Certificate of Origin, Canada Customs Invoice and Shipper’s Letter of Instruction.
3. Custom Documents: Consolidated Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing Lists, and hazardous summary.
4. Shipping Reports: Both internal and customer notification.

Automatically Track Your Packages

Once an order is processed, InfoShip can send an email, text message or fax to whomever you want letting them know the status and details of the order.

A Variety of Notification and Tracking Options

A Variety of Notification and Tracking Options

You decide who gets what information. The customer can receive the order and shipping details—even a tracking number—while your sales or customer service department can get the same information plus additional internal details such the customer’s order history as well as a reminder to confirm delivery and make sure they are satisfied.

Controlling Your Warehouses and Shipping Centers

InfoShip not only decides what business rules apply to which workstations, it does the same for your warehouses and shipping centers.

Location Matters

Location Matters

There are times when it is helpful for all your distribution centers to follow company-wide business rules. InfoShip can do this. However, there might be other times when this is not so wise. For example, countries have different shipping regulations. InfoShip would then abstain from universal application of a business rule, instead promulgating country-specific ones to the appropriate locations.

Searching Made Simple

Searching for data with InfoShip is easy. Set up a simple search template and then enter the data you want. InfoShip will search all open, closed, voided or on-hold shipments, looking for the information you need. One found, your results can be saved, printed, or deleted.

Search Criteria

Search Criteria

With infoShip you can search by Order Number, Pick Ticket, Shipper or Operator ID. With InfoShip you can taylor your Search Criteria making it easy to get to what you are looking for.

Monitoring the Health of Your System

Not only does InfoShip improve your shipping process, it monitors it as well.

Detailed Performance Evaluation

Detailed Performance Evaluation

InfoShip will analyze most of the steps and equipment involved in your shipping process, displaying these results in the formats you choice. By reviewing this performance data, your shipping department can diagnose and prevent potential problems.

Above is the result of a performance evaluation. At the far right of the graph is a bar titled “Total Ship Time.”This displays the total speed of the shipping process with the bars to the left representing different steps involved. If a certain activity is taking too long, this could indicate a potential problem.

The Black Box Option

For exceedingly-high transaction volume, there is InfoShip “Black Box.”

Rapid Invoice Generation

Rapid Invoice Generation

Under the Black Box configuration, InfoShip is relieved of the need to control workstations. Instead, your resource or warehouse application handles them, allowing InfoShip to interface directly with the host system unencumbered. The result is high-volume, rapid invoice generation and readily available, up-to-the minute order information for your customer service and sales departments.
