InfoShip® Multi-Carrier
InfoShip security
controls who can do what from within the application. Security is
implemented at the application service level, meaning that not only do
the inherent functions (such as Void, Closeout, etc) participate in the
security model but also any resources that may have been added to the
system (such as any business rules implemented using Behaviors or VB
Script). For instance, if a resource (such as a VB Script) has a
policy that denies execute access, then any toolbar buttons or keyboard
shortcuts associated with this resource are disabled. In the event
of a toolbar button, the button shows up grayed out.
The security model is made up of Users,
User Groups, Resource Groups, and Policies. If Active Directory is
used on the network, the Users and User Groups can be tied directly into
Active Directory instead of maintaining two separate lists.

LTL/TL/Corporate
Fleet
LTL carriers such as Roadway, Yellow, Con-Way, etc can be handled by our
DMS Server. Tariffs are received from Southern Motor Carriers.
New custom carriers using these tariffs can easily be added to the
system by pointing and clicking through a simple setup process.
Any carrier added to the system this way immediately has the ability to
generate standard shipping labels, standard Bills of Lading, VICS Bills
of Lading, consolidated Bills of Lading, and carrier manifests.
Interline and accessorial charges are also supported. |
|
 |
Regional
Regional carriers can easily be added to the system through a simple
point and click process. Rate, routes, holiday, and transit time
files can be loaded and associated with carriers added to the system.
Such carriers are immediately able to generate standard labels
(including barcodes), COD tags, end of day reports, etc. Special
service fees such as fuel surcharge and declared value are also
supported. |
